I am sorry about that, it had worked on my computer. Here is another link to my video, it has been placed on public now.

    3. For the most part, I remember how to respond to the questions from having to repeat such things in my high school classes. Somethings I could not answer such as name significance, I did not know the words needed to explain my name. I only understood that apendido meant last name because of how Dr. Avellaneda introduced himself, and I know the last question was asking something about my self but I did not know the word being used. A good bulk of my being able to respond was using how Dr. Avellaneda had given information about himself was similar to the words in some of the questions.
When it came to spelling my name I remember how most of the letter are like the letter sounds but I needed to look at other videos to be able to say letters like "Y" and "J" well enough.

After watching the videos, I was able to learn and have a review of some words. The first video went a little fast for me to understand the pronunciations, but I was able to understand words such as “Buenos días, Buenas tardes, Buenos noches, hola and adiós”. There are other phrases and terms the videos covered that I learned and went over but I haven’t quite retained them all yet. I was surprised how similar the Spanish alphabet is to the English alphabet. They don’t sound exactly the same, but they do sound similar. I thought the video “Basic Spanish” was both helpful and difficult. I thought it was helpful when they said the alphabet along with displaying the letters and when they said the numbers as well as showed the numbers for visual reference. I found it difficult when the people were talking, and the subtitles were Spanish. I was unable to follow along and understand during those scenes. Overall, I enjoyed the videos and hope to further my journey of learning Spanish.

    1. Muy bien. Lo importante es intentar. I am sure you will learn enough to be able to have basic conversations with your Spanish speakers and make them feel welcome and part of the class.

I believe that I am posting this video correctly. If not, I will post another comment with a different link.

I found it somewhat easy, but also somewhat hard to create this video. I had to watch Dr. Avellaneda's video multiple times to try to understand him. I also had to write the questions down at the end of the video, and rewatch the begining part so that I could write my answers down before I made my video.

The first review video was hard for me to follow along with. I had to pause it to read the english subtitles, and then listen to the words in spanish, and it took me a long time to be able to try to follow along.
The second video was a lot more helpful to me. It was basic, but it also helped me with some basic numbers and some alphabet. I had to watch that video to learn some of the letters for spelling my name in my video. I also learned that after I made my video that I am not proficient in Texas geography. I thought that Houston was south of Austin and not south east. I did not know how to say east in spanish, so I just said south in my video.

    1. Excelente. I love your spelling part. I want to learn to do that. I feel like this class may be too elementary for you, don't you think so?

    1. I watched the video several times and had to piece together the few words I remembered from taking spanish in highschool. I only answered 3 of the questions and I hope that I answered them correctly. I tried to find the verb in the sentence and then work my backwards in understanding the question. Hopefully after watching everyones vlogs I can get a better understanding if I answered the questions correctly.

Hello class, I hope you enjoy watching my video blog for the language learning experience. I found it somewhat challenging in order to create my video blog and answer all of the questions in Spanish. I watched all of the videos multiple times before I could truly understand what was being said and how to answer each of the questions. Even after watching the videos I found the alphabet to be confusing and had to find another video on YouTube to help me. I look forward to continuing this experience and developing my understanding of Spanish because I believe it will help me in my future as an educator.

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoy watching my video. For me learning Spanish is really challenging. I was unable to understand Dr. Avellaneda's video at all when the first couple time I was watching. I watched both the videos multiple time and also went on youtube to watch a video about how to pronounce the El Apostol. Since I can roll my tongue to pronounce some of the letters, I have to practice many times before recording my voice. While recording this video i also have to stop many times to make sure I pronounce the correct phrase This class is definitely challenging but I do look forward to continuing to learn this language and enjoy at the same time.

    Hi everyone,
I had watched Dr. Avellaneda's video a handful of time just to make sure the pronunciations are as close as possible. From what I was able to comprehend we were to answer in Spanish were, What is your name, how is it spelled, and where we are from and what is our occupation. I watched the two practice videos ALOT! The only question I could not answer is where is my home city located. I did not know the Spanish words for "southeast" so I did have to skip that question.

  8. Hi guys!
I had to watch Dr. Avellaneda's videos a few times to understand what was being said and asked throughout them. After watching the practice videos I still had a hard time figuring out the alphabet. I had a hard time following along with the videos, almost got the feeling of becoming overwhelmed because I felt that I was listening to something and not actually absorbing anything being learned because I was unable to understand what was being said. It will take a lot of practice or me to be able to say certain Spanish words properly.

Hola! I watched the video a few times from beginning to end. I started writing down the script I would be using in my own video. I answered the questions I knew upon hearing them, but I could not understand the questions at the end, “Donde esta ese pueblo o esa ciudad?” and “Que hace usted?” solely by audio. I turned the captions on the video and read the questions, and I then understood what was being asked, “Where is your town or city?” and “What do you do?” I remembered the verbs and conjugations from my Spanish I class.

Hola! I had to watch the video 3-4 times to pick up on how to say things such as "se escribe" before I began spelling my name in my own video. While I could not understand the sentences in Spanish word for word I was able to pick up on a few words within the sentences such as nombre, usted, largo, and donde esta which helped me piece together what the questions were asking me. While answering the questions in Spanish I was surprised to see how much I remembered from high school Spanish classes I took years ago.

    Buenas tardes!
When I initially began to watch the videos we needed to study, I was so overwhelmed with all the information and fast pace that I had to take a breather! Once I sat down, slowed the pace and, took the time to carefully read, I was able to use my knowledge from high school to help me translate the videos. I listened to the videos multiple times, and being able to read the Spanish captions helped tremendously too. Some of the information presented was new and some was a review, but I tried to fully immerse myself into the lesson so that I could really retain the information this time learning Spanish!

I really enjoyed doing this blog. I never really tried to sit and interpret Spanish, and I must say I had a great time. I didn't really understand the ending questions, but I used context clues to get the understanding. It took me quite a few takes to get it right. I found myself going from English to Spanish and had to adjust my brain to make everything flow smoothly. When i was done with my video, i went back and tried to translate some phrases the professor said in his video. This was very interesting and I can't wait until the next one. I feel like I can grasp and major part of it if i just stay at it, and be patient.

    Hello!
I had to watch this video multiple times to remotely understand what was being said. I used external resources to help me translate the Spanish to English. I decided to do mine in English because I felt like my Spanish would not have made sense and wanted you to be able to understand what I was saying.

    Hello everyone!
I hope you could watch my video blog that I posted. I enjoyed doing this video I think learning a new language is very fun and enjoyable. My foundation in Spanish is very minimal due to only learning a few years of Spanish in high school, so I could only understand the very basics of Dr. Avellaneda's video. I watched the video 3-4 times to really grasp what I knew and make sure what I was understanding was correct and even wrote it down along with my answers to help. I tried my best with the Spanish I know and hope you guys understand what I am saying!

This assignment was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be. I didn't really struggle with pronunciation, however, I found comprehension to be an obstacle. I found myself watching the model video multiple times in order to make sense of what was being said. I also had to ask my sister for help, as she is a more advanced Spanish speaker. Nonetheless, this assignment was helpful and an interesting experience!

This assignment was hard, because I had forgotten all my spanish that I learned in High School. I did not pronounce things correctly, but I think that will change with practice and repetition. I used to the resourced provided to refresh my memory and understand the assignment. I also had a close friend help me with this assignment, so I am lucky to know her.
